Manual on prevention of the risk of thermal stress due to heat

The Valencian Institute of Safety and Health at Work (INVASSAT) has recently published a technical manual to support one of its virtual courses titled: "Prevention of the risk of thermal stress due to heat."

In general terms, we can define the risk of thermal stress due to heat, as the probability of suffering health damage due to adverse environmental conditions and as a consequence of the work performed.

The objective of this material is to publicize the applicable regulations for the prevention of health damage caused by exposure to heat, identify the risk factors with the greatest impact on thermal stress and what measures to adopt to eliminate or minimize them.

It is also intended to make known the prevention and protection measures that workers have at their disposal and to know what first aid procedures to apply in case of heat stroke.
