The integration of occupational risk prevention at all levels within the company is essential to achieve safe work environments and to achieve that objective, middle management plays a leading role . This figure must ensure the safety of the workers under his/her charge, changing reckless attitudes into safe ones, thus becoming a clear reference for them in terms of prevention.

Their mission as a link between management and workers to transmit the preventive culture makes them a fundamental piece of the main objective in our field, which is to reduce accidents.

Middle managers are, for companies, the drivers of change and when management anticipates or decides to change, one or all of them are usually called upon to study the viability of the change and materialize it. This means that they are prepared and have to respond to all situations from the beginning of the change process.

The role of middle management in organizations is key from the perspective of Vision Zero , which is the global campaign of the AISS in favor of zero accidents, illnesses and injuries at work that seeks to promote preventive culture in organizations.
