Modification of the Collective Agreement of the Construction Sector

Last Monday, the Resolution of December 25, 2023, of the General Directorate of Labor, was published in the Official State Gazette, by which the Agreement of modification of the VII General Collective Agreement of the construction sector is registered and published.

The text of different articles of the previous agreement is modified on issues related to the detection and fight against fires, the assembly, supervision and training of assemblers, specific standards for safety nets, specific standards for loading and unloading platforms or the functions of the construction supervisor, among others.

In our field it is interesting to highlight the new wording of section 2 of article 145 referring to the basic level of prevention in construction, which indicates: " ...the training contents, as well as the number of minimum teaching hours of the basic level of prevention in construction, are detailed in Annex XII, Section 4 of this Agreement. These training contents may be taught in the face-to-face modality or in the mixed presence and telelearning modality. In the latter case, the face-to-face part will have a duration of at least 20 teaching hours. For the student to obtain the aptitude, it will be necessary for him/her to attend the entire face-to-face part.
