New INSST regulatory disclosure sheet on tractors
The National Institute of Safety and Hygiene at Work publishes the regulatory disclosure sheet: "Tractors, marketing and use".
These sheets are informative documents that collect, in a simple way, the technical and legal concepts of a subject in terms of prevention and provide the sources or routes to follow to obtain the additional information required.
The tractor is subject to very broad and complex regulations, therefore eThe purpose of this new sheet is to identify and develop the different safety and health regulatory aspects applicable to the marketing and use of tractors so that they are known by users when purchasing them and using them as work equipment in the field or as a vehicle on public roads.
Among the different technical characteristics that are regulated in the regulations compiled in this document, special attention is paid to those that have the greatest impact on the tractor overturning, since this type of accident can have serious and fatal consequences for the driver if the tractor does not have adequate protection measures.
Related to this matter recently, the prevention technician of Fraternidad-Muprespa Juan José Carrión Quintana participated in the Madrid Regional Institute of Safety and Health at Work: "PRL in the agricultural and forestry sector" with the talk "Prevention against rollover" (more information about the day).
