New INSST sheets for the control of chemical agents

The chemical agent control sheets have recently been updated, which are technical documents that the National Institute for Safety and Hygiene at Work has translated from the basic advice sheets developed by the Health Safety Executive  (HSE) of England as part of its COSHH Essentials model.

These sheets provide basic good work practice recommendations for different operations to control exposure to hazardous chemicals in the environment work.

This new delivery includes two sheets with control strategy 4 and begins the collection of sheets corresponding to certain industrial sectors with 9 sheets for the control of exposure to silica dust.

The collection is made up of generic sheets in which strategies or levels of control are recommended and contain actions whose objective is to minimize exposure and other specific sheets, aimed at certain industrial sectors, in which help is offered to professionals in the sector to control exposure to dangerous substances and protect the health of workers. workers.
