New technical notes on asbestos prevention

The National Institute of Safety and Health at Work (INSST) has just published two new technical notes on prevention on asbestos.

The NTPS 1995 titled: "Management and diagnosis (part II): Diagnosis process and management plan for asbestos materials" and NTP 1996: "Asbestos: Management and diagnosis (part II): Diagnosis process and management plan of materials with asbestos" are the continuation of NTP 1195 (part I) that proposes a general scheme for the safe management of materials with asbestos (ACM) and describes the “diagnosis of asbestos” understanding it as a two-stage process that is the location and identification of ACM present in the building or facility and the assessment of the level of potential risk associated with each ACM.

Then they describe its usefulness for preparing a MCA registry and introduce the MCA management plan as a preventive planning tool.
