Updated the Action Procedure for Prevention Services against Covid
The Ministry of Health has updated on November 18th the Procedure of Action for occupational risk prevention services against exposure to SARS-CoV-2
It must be remembered that it is up to companies to evaluate the risk of exposure that their employees may encounter in each of the differentiated tasks they perform and to follow the recommendations issued by the prevention service on this matter, following the guidelines and recommendations formulated by the health authorities. Any protective measure must ensure that it adequately protects working personnel from those risks to their health or safety that cannot be avoided or sufficiently limited by the adoption of organizational measures, technical measures and, ultimately, individual protection measures
The main new features with respect to the previous wording are the review of preventive measures in the current context of the pandemic, the incorporation of the long-covid section and the reduction of the section on detection, notification, study, case management and contacts.
In this new version, some preventive measures of an organizational nature have been reviewed, among which we can highlight:
- Avoid massive coincidence of people in work centers during the time periods of expected greatest influx.
- Encourage teleworking in activities whose nature allows it or assess the adoption of work options mixed.
- Adapte working conditions, including the arrangement of workstations and the organization of shifts, as well as the use of places common.
- When traveling in shared vehicles, use a mask and ensure air intake exterior.
