The 10th F-M Prevention Week ends with fifty sessions

Fraternidad-Muprespa has once again reaffirmed in 2025 its commitment against the scourge of workplace accidents. With its X Prevention Week “If everything is in its place, accidents have no place” it highlights the importance of systematization in organizations as a source of security (4th golden rule of Vision Zero).

On April 3, Natalia Fdez. Laviada, Deputy Director General of Prevention, Quality and Communication of the Mutua, participated in the seminar "A general reflection on safety and health at work: in light of a suitable regulatory reform", organized by the Cantabria Prevention Chair and the ICASST, and participated in the table "Other key issues of an eventual reform" with the presentation "PRL and women: making the invisible visible."

On April 22, Aitor Ramirez, Senior Principal at Kaizen Institute Western Europe was the guest at the webinar “5S as a tool for people's safety”, led by Rebecca Garcia, Area Head of the Department of Prevention and Health Culture of the Mutua, where she spoke about said Japanese methodology applied to preventive culture.

On April 24, prevention consultants Jose Luis Fernandez y Javier Sanchez participated in the webinar “The technological transformation in the PRL", organized by the Galician Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (ISSGA). Both shared and highlighted how technological advances are profoundly transforming Occupational Health and Safety, providing tools that allow us to anticipate, control and reduce risks more effectively.

On April 25, the Cáceres Chamber of Commerce hosted the event “Improve preventive activity and avoid accidents in your company”, organized by the Extremadura Center for Occupational Safety and Health and in which they participate Maria Dolores Cortés, Provincial Director of the Mutua in Cáceres, and Mar Morales, director of the Department of Prevention and Health Culture of the Mutua, who focused on the importance of applying appropriate strategies to comply with preventive measures, as well as the importance of the commitment of all hierarchical levels of an organization. Representatives of the Extremadura Center for Occupational Safety and Health, CESSLA, the Social Security Labor Inspection and the General Directorate of Labor of the Government of Extremadura also participated in the event.

That same April 25, the 48th Fratertalk took place "If everything is in its place, accidents have no place. How standards also create preventive culture" with Manuela Brinques, Technical Director of Full Audit. He opted to guarantee a safe and healthy system and stated that “andBeing well organized is usually associated with rigid structures, but in reality it opens the door to more agile, proactive and effective prevention”. 

At the PRL Center in Cádiz, Luis Angel Merlo, prevention consultant for Mutua, participated in the event “The integration of the gender perspective in ORP in feminized sectors” in which he cited the reasons why a company must implement the gender perspective in its preventive management, especially in feminized sectors.

And finally, the Valencian Institute of Occupational Safety and Health celebrated, together with Fraternidad-Muprespa, the “Occupational disease, that great unknown”, in which they participated Jordi De Vicente, Provincial director of the Mutua in Valencia, and the prevention consultant Jesus Lopez. At the meeting, professionals from the health and business fields delved deeper into the management of occupational diseases, whose impact on health and work productivity is high.

Days postponed due to blackout

Fifteen events scheduled for the last week of April had to be postponed due to the blackout suffered on the peninsula on the 28th. Among them:

The webinar “More x Less”, organized by Prevencionar, was scheduled for the 28th. The new appointment will be on May 26 and will feature Rafael Delgado, prevention consultant for Mutua, as a speaker on strategies to optimize ORP, investing less in material resources and enhancing human resources.

On May 15 the day will take place “Communication and PRL. Practical experiences” organized by the Junta de Andalucía and which will take place at the CPRL in Malaga. Natalia Fdez. Laviada, Deputy General Director of Prevention, Quality and Communication of the Mutua, and other important voices from the company and the preventive field, will take the floor to share these experiences.

There is also a new date, June 4, for the celebration of the classroom-workshop “Keys to a healthy and inclusive work environment. Occupational health and safety with a gender perspective”, organized by the Junta de Andalucía and in which Elena Fernandez, prevention consultant for Mutua. The event maintains its venue, the Prevention Culture Pavilion of the Granada Science Park.
