Conference in Córdoba “Moving towards job security with a gender perspective”

With this title, said meeting was held last Tuesday the 24th at the Occupational Risk Prevention Center of Córdoba, the organizing entity, which had Fraternidad-Muprespa for it.

The inauguration was carried out by Maria Dolores Galvez, Territorial delegate of Employment, Business and Self-Employment in Córdoba, and José Antonio Leiva, director of the PRL Center.

Gálvez highlighted the importance of including the gender perspective in the implementation of preventive policies in companies, pointing out that more and more organizations are developing these inclusive practices.

Next, Daniel Gamboa, training coordinator of the Center, introduced and gave way to the different speakers.

Ignacio Ramos, Full Professor at the University of Seville, in the Department of Social Psychology and in the Laboratory-Observatory of Occupational Health from a Gender Perspective LAOGEN, announced the DIGEN guide, of which he is co-author. Ramos highlighted the importance of the guide as a tool to address an accurate diagnosis in the company regarding its status regarding the inclusion of the gender perspective.

Rafael Delgado, Prevention consultant Fraternidad-Muprespa in Córdoba and coach in neurolinguistic programming, explained in her presentation the keys to achieving the integration of the gender perspective in the prevention of occupational risks, based on carrying out a good diagnosis, in addition to exposing the different phases to achieve, even in the short term, said inclusion.

Manuel Serrano, head of the Women's Training and Employment Service in Central Services of the IAM in Seville, explained how gender violence develops in the workplace, focusing on sexual harassment and harassment based on sex. He used the 'iceberg of harassment' in his presentation, in which all the phases of the process are appreciated, drawing attention above all to the less visible behaviors.

Finally, Araceli Guarino, HR manager at Keyter Group, explained in a practical way how the equality plan is developed within the business group he represents, and showed the good evolution in the last five years regarding gender inclusion.

The day, which had nearly a hundred attendees, was closed by Rosario Alarcon, ddirector of the Andalusian Women's Institute of Córdoba.
