Fraternidad-Muprespa and FAE ASEMAR analyze the keys to IT in Aranda de Duero after 545 days of sick leave
This Tuesday, the Burgos town hosted an information day of great technical and business interest, organized by Fraternidad-Muprespa in collaboration with the Business Association of Aranda and La Ribera, FAE ASEMAR.
The event, which was held at the headquarters of the employers' association and had full capacity, was inaugurated by Sergio Martin, vice president of FAE ASEMAR, who highlighted the relevance and concern that absenteeism generates in the business fabric of the entire Ribera, thanking the Mutua for its willingness to clarify a complex and multifactorial management scenario.
The central presentation, lasting an hour and a half, was given by Francisco Barroso, coordinator of Economic Benefits of the Territorial Directorate Center-Large Mutualists of Fraternidad-Muprespa. Barroso, an expert in the field of benefits and absenteeism, clearly outlined the changes introduced by the Reform of Law 02/2025 in articles 49.1 of the Workers' Statute and 174 of the General Social Security Law.
During the session, doubts about the contractual relationship were resolved when a medical leave exceeded 545 days, delving into very current concepts such as the "excessive burden" for the company and the obligation to make "reasonable adjustments" before proceeding to terminate the contract in the event of a permanent disability.
The meeting, which had a large representation from various economic sectors, was closed by Yolanda Morejon, director of the The Fraternidad-Muprespa delegation in Aranda de Duero. Morejón highlighted the success of the event in the region and reaffirmed the importance of public-private collaboration and joint work between entities to achieve common objectives in the management of occupational health, thanking the commitment and interest shown by all attendees with the update on matters of such high social and economic impact.
