Occupational Exposure Limits for Chemical Agents in 2024
The INSST has recently published the new list of Occupational exposure limit values for chemical contaminants in Spain for 2024, which have been approved by the National Commission for Safety and Health at Work.
This document is reviewed and updated annually for the adoption of community occupational exposure limit values (VLA) (binding and indicative) or by the needs arising from changes in production processes and the introduction of new substances, new technical and scientific knowledge, as well as the evolution of the legal framework in which they are applied.
In this year's edition, certain environmental limit values from Tables 1 and 2 have been updated, such as nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen dioxide for the underground mining and tunnel construction sectors, or biological limit values from Table 3, such as butadiene or chromium compounds such as Cr. Some updating of the text of several chapters and annexes is also carried out.
