Occupational Exposure Limits for Chemical Agents in 2025
The INSST has recently published the new list of Professional exposure limit values for chemical agents in Spain in 2025 and which have been approved, on January 27, 2025, by the National Commission for Safety and Health at Work.
Professional exposure limits are reference values for the evaluation and control of the risks inherent in exposure, mainly through inhalation, to chemical agents present in the workplace and, therefore, to protect the health of workers.
The updates that this edition has in its tables of environmental and biological values and corresponding annexes are relative to environmental limit values of agents such as benzene, chromium VI compounds, nickel or vinyl cyanide, among others.
The modifications established in Royal Decree 612/2024 of July 2, which modifies Royal Decree 665/1997, of May 12, on the protection of workers against risks related to exposure to carcinogens during work, have also been incorporated.
