Occupational health in collective agreements
The protection of health and safety at work is a priority objective of labor legislation and therefore collective agreements include specific chapters dedicated to this matter. Below we are going to review some of the latest ones that have been published during the months of July and August in the Official State Gazette.
Last July, the Resolution of July 8, 2020 of the General Directorate of Labor was published, which registers and publishes the state collective agreement for maintenance and conservation of aquatic facilities.
An application agreement in the functional scope of companies whose main activity consists of the maintenance and conservation of aquatic facilities, commissioned by third parties and their employees to exclusively perform said service.
The activities to be carried out in terms of health and safety or prevention are included in chapter XIII on occupational health and chapter XVII on work clothing with references to labor protection.
On August 14, Resolution of August 3, 2020 of the General Directorate of Labor was published, by which the state collective agreement of veterinary centers and services is registered and published.
An application agreement in the functional scope of companies that carry out animal care activities in veterinary health centers and services or outside them, whether they are natural or legal persons, commercial, charitable or non-profit.
The activities to be carried out in terms of health and safety or prevention are included in chapter VII on occupational health and safety.
Likewise, on August 14, the Resolution of August 3, 2020 of the General Directorate of Labor was published, by which the National Collective Agreement of the cycle of paper trade and graphic arts is registered and published 2019-2021.
An agreement applicable to all companies whose main activity pertains to the trade, distribution, import and export of publishing products and stationery, wholesalers and retailers of periodicals, as well as the distribution, import and export of the aforementioned products and the retail sale of records. Within it, the activities to be carried out in terms of prevention are included in chapter XI on safety and health.
