Occupational health in the new collective catering agreement

Last May, the Resolution of April 26, 2021, of the General Directorate of Labor, was published in the Official State Gazette, by which the State collective agreement of the collective catering labor sector for the years 2020 and 2021 is registered and published.

An application agreement for companies and workers in the collective catering sector, which includes the work carried out by a company interposed between the main company (client) and the diner and that provides a hospitality service and proceeds to prepare and transform the food through its own system and organization, in the same client's facilities or in its own, always serving said food subsequently in the spaces enabled for this purpose by the clients and receiving for this consideration.

Likewise, hospitality services provided under administrative concessions by companies belonging to the collective catering subsector are included within the scope of application of this agreement.

The activities to be carried out regarding safety and health are included in chapter VI of the collective agreement entitled Various provisions and occupational health and safety.
