Ordinary General Meeting of Fraternidad-Muprespa 2014
Thursday, July 24, the Ordinary General Meeting of Fraternidad-Muprespa where the accounts corresponding to the 2013 financial year were approved.
In the words of the President of the Mutua, Mr. Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros and Bernaldo de Quirós, despite the current perception of the economy, which is more optimistic than that of a year ago, last year was another period in which net employment was destroyed, which affected Social Security affiliation, which saw its affiliates decrease by -3.49%. This general scenario affected the population protected by Fraternidad-Muprespa, which decreased by 2.35% in Professional Contingency, however increasing by 2.35% in Common Contingency.
However, despite the job destruction, Fraternidad-Muprespa ended 2013 with 121,114 associated companies, 0.41% more than in 2012, establishing itself as third Mutual in the sector by volume of income and in 2013, managing to double its distance with the fourth entity.
In this way, the income corresponding to the management of Social Security Assets during 2013 stood at 920.6 million euros, which represented a drop of -6.15% in this concept. But despite this scenario of declining revenues, Fraternidad-Muprespa is demonstrating commendable efficiency, which allows it to present a result higher than the previous year by 24.47% that reaches the 96,059,947.86 million surplus.
The president recognized the efforts of all the Mutua workers, making special mention of their importance in the implementation of the Corporate Strategic Plan which is now in its third year. He recalled that during this period, the Mutual Fund has made a qualitative leap in its operation, betting on efficiency, continuous improvement and the satisfaction of its mutual members.
The event continued with the presentation of recognition to six collaborators of Fraternidad-Muprespa, for their loyalty to the Mutua, each of them corresponding to the different Territorial Directorates:

- AFICOEX ASESORIA S.L. (CÁCERES).
- PALLARES ASESORES DE EMPRESAS, S.L. (BARCELONA).
- SERVIEQUIPO S.A.(VIZCAYA).
- ASESORIA ABREU Y ASOCIADOS, S.L. (LAS PALMAS).
Next, the permanence awards were presented to the workers who have been working at the Mutua for 25 years.
Finally,Mr. Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros and Bernaldo de Quirós concluded the Ordinary General Meeting with sincere thanks to the mutual members for continuing to grant the Entity their trust, since this is what gives meaning to its own reason for being.
