Affiliation

Administrative act through which the General Treasury of Social Security recognizes the condition of being included in the Social Security System to the natural person who for the first time carries out a work activity.
Membership entails the assignment of a Social Security Number to the affiliated person, whether self-employed or employed, as well as their inclusion in one of the corresponding Social Security regimes.
The application for affiliation is made prior to the start of the provision of services by the employed person.
