Posters about accidents in the agricultural and fishing sectors

The INSST has recently published two informative posters on the accident rate in the agricultural and fishing sectors.

The poster on the fishing sector aims to draw attention to accidents in fishing (data from 2023 and accumulated from 2013-2023) by presenting information on the number of minor, serious and fatal accidents, indicating the most frequent forms of their occurrence, as well as their distribution in the different fishing gears.

Likewise, the evolution of the incidence rates of accidents with sick leave and fatal accidents in fishing and in the total number of activities is presented, making it clear that fishing is a work activity with high accident rates.

In the second of them dedicated to agriculture, the aim is to draw attention to the high accident rate in the agricultural sector and the most frequent ways in which accidents occur, providing some significant data of preventive interest.

In addition, it is shown how the accident rate in the agricultural sector (data from 2023 and accumulated from 2013-2023) has followed an upward trend for more than a decade, unlike other sectors.
