Prevention in road maintenance and conservation
The Construction Labor Foundation has been working since the middle of last year on two projects with which it aims to raise awareness about the risks derived from road conservation and maintenance work, in order to collaborate in the reduction of accidents resulting from them, as well as for the dissemination of standards, good practices and safe work procedures.
The first project has to do with road conservation and maintenance work whose common objective is to create materials and content that help with the correct management of occupational risk prevention in this type of work. The objective is to provide information on how to plan appropriate measures before the start of work with special emphasis on signaling tasks, which represent the greatest risk for workers.
In the second project, FLC coordinates the European project “VRoad” until 2020 for learning, through virtual reality, applied to road training in the European construction industry. This is a project belonging to the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, in which entities from other countries also participate.
