The gradual return to normality in our society must be carried out by preserving public health and minimizing the risk that the epidemic represents for the health of the population and preventing the capacities of our hospitals from being overflowed.

The reactivation of economic activity includes the return of cultural and leisure shows for the public and all cinemas, theaters, auditoriums, tent circuses and similar entertainment spaces have been able to carry out their activity since phase 3, as long as they have pre-assigned seats and do not exceed half the authorized capacity in each room. In outdoor cultural activities, the public must remain seated, maintaining the necessary distance and may not exceed 50% of the authorized capacity, nor may they gather more than 80 people.

The Ministry of Health has published the document Recommendations for mass events and activities in the context of the new normal due to Covid-19 in Spain.

The objective is to provide a framework to evaluate the risks of SARS-CoV-2 transmission associated with mass events or activities, allowing the adoption of timely measures to reduce the risk. This document is addressed to the responsible authorities and organizers of this type of mass events or activities.

For its part, the Regional Institute for Safety and Health at Work of Madrid has published a brief guide aimed at companies in the entertainment and public events sector that includes an example of the procedure to follow for checking the conditions that must be met in terms of safety and health for the return of workers to the workplace, along with recommended measures to apply.
