Prevention subsidy in Extremadura

The Official Gazette of Extremadura published on April 8 the Order of March 27, 2019, which calls for subsidies to promote safety and health at work in companies in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura for the year 2019.

Beneficiary entities: may be beneficiaries of these subsidies, natural or legal persons and groups of natural and legal persons, whatever the legal form they adopt, as long as they have employed workers, have economic activity in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, and make the investments object of subsidy in work centers located in Extremadura.

Communities of property or any other type of economic unit or separate property that, although lacking legal personality, meet the requirements listed in article 3 of Decree 37/2016, of March 15, and can carry out the actions subject to the subsidy, may also be beneficiaries of these subsidies.

Subsidized actions: son eligible for subsidies charged to the subsidies established in this order, the realization of the following investments at:

• Acquisition of mobile elevating work platforms for personnel, for carrying out work at height.
• Replacement of work scaffolding with modular scaffolding systems.
• Installations and systems for the control at the source of dangerous chemical agents and carcinogenic or mutagenic agents in the workplace.
• Replacement of machines installed in the company's work centers.
• Replacement due to deterioration or to achieve an improvement in safety conditions at work, of pressure vessels and/or storage tanks for combustible fluids or dangerous chemicals.
• The investments made to adapt jobs occupied by people with disabilities.
• Investments made to improve the working conditions of pregnant or breastfeeding workers.
•  Acquisition of equipment whose function is to avoid or reduce manual handling of loads by workers.
• Removal of existing asbestos materials in the work centers where the applicant company usually carries out its activity.

Amount of aid: the total amount of credit allocated to this call will be sixty thousand euros (€60,000).

Deadline: the application submission period will be 16 business days from the day following the date of publication in the Official Gazette of Extremadura.
