Prevention Week 2022 Edition

Fraternidad-Muprespa  celebrated its VII Prevention Week from April 22 to 28, 2022 with the motto: "Time to lead prevention" in which we promote the Vision Zero philosophy by focusing on the first golden rule of assuming leadership and working in line with the ILO 2022 motto which was:  “Act together to build a positive health and safety culture ”.

Around the celebration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28, we carried out a series of actions of a markedly digital nature and the events of the 2022 edition were target="_blank"> FRATERTALK #21: "RED WIRE OR BLUE WIRE? WHEN LEADING IS THE RIGHT DECISION"

Can a person get used to fear? What factors influence a worker to stop being afraid of suffering an accident? What is the fine line that makes a decision lead to a good or bad consequence? How can we exercise leadership in PRL?

To talk about these issues we spoke with an expert who, due to his career, has been exposed to extreme situations, where leadership, fear management and decision making are vital to not put your life at risk. These are Julio de la Iglesia, TEDAX (Explosives Disposal Specialist Technician) and Coach.

INSTITUTIONAL CONFERENCE: "TIME TO LEAD PREVENTION"

During the webinar we talked about the construction of a solid culture of safety and health at work that is established as one in which both management and workers value and promote the right to a safe and healthy work environment with inclusion, through the meaningful participation of all parties in the continuous improvement of OSH. We have the presence of relevant guests with experience and knowledge in this matter.

Carlos Arranz, director of the INSST, spoke to us about the third line of work of the Spanish Occupational Health and Safety Strategy dedicated to the integration of prevention in SMEs and the Vision Zero approach  on which they are working from this reference body in the field of prevention in our country.

Afterwards we were able to talk with Juan Jesús Nieto, Pascual's prevention director, whose work is based on trust in the team and communication as fundamental tools. In his speech he conveyed very powerful ideas about the importance of the company's vision of the future and told us how in his company they have come to work on bottom-up leadership today.

Our third guest was Francisco J. Flor, founder of Danica Desarrollos S.L. entity that is dedicated to developing growth and restructuring projects for companies, and in his speech he told us about why we are interested in leading prevention  in companies and how to do it through interesting examples.
