Priority activities based on the accident rate in 2022

The INNST has just published a new document titled: "Priority activities based on accident rates 2022".

This report, which has been carried out since 2007, focuses on the prioritization of economic activities based on two parameters: the incidence rate of accidents during the work day (ATJT) and the number of workers who carry out their work in a specific activity.

Prioritization is carried out with three different approaches, the first of which considers all ATJTs that resulted in sick leave (mild, serious and fatal), referring to the entire population affiliated with the work accident contingency covered. For its part, the second section addresses the analysis of priority activities based on the ATJT and population, differentiating by sex.

Finally, in the third section, focused on severity, prioritization is carried out considering only ATJTs with serious or fatal consequences, that is, the most dangerous activities are prioritized taking as a reference the entire population affiliated with the work accident contingency covered.
