Professional category
Traditional labor classification term that has lost legal centrality after the replacement of the system of categories with that of professional groups. Currently, the professional classification is established by collective bargaining or, failing that, by agreement between the company and the legal representation of the workers, through professional groups that group skills, qualifications, functions, specialties or responsibilities. Its definition must comply with criteria that guarantee the absence of direct and indirect discrimination between women and men.
