Professional Exposure Limits for Chemical Agents in Spain 2019

The National Institute for Safety and Health at Work (INSST) has published the new list of occupational exposure limit values for chemical contaminants, it is the nineteenth edition since said list began to be published.

The most relevant entities with recognized prestige in the field have been consulted to obtain the values included in the guide that we describe here; they are the result of a critical evaluation of the professional exposure limit values, updating said data.

This document is reviewed with a high frequency (annual) as we must take into account the Community occupational exposure limit values (binding and indicative), as well as changes in production processes, the introduction of new substances, technical knowledge as well as the evolution of the legal framework in which they are applied.

Specifically, in this version the environmental limit values have been taken into account as Professional Exposure Limits, also considering, as a complement indicator of exposure, the biological limit values.
