Report on accidents among workers in temporary employment companies

The National Institute for Safety and Health at Work (INSST) has published the document entitled Accidents of workers assigned by temporary employment companies. Report January - December 2019.

Since 2011, the INSST has included in its periodic reports these specific analyzes that allow us to know the evolution of workplace accidents in jobs carried out by workers assigned by temporary employment agencies (ETT). The objective is to have indicators that allow us to know the evolution of workplace accidents in jobs or occupations that are especially dangerous for occupational safety and health and that are carried out by workers assigned by temporary employment companies, as well as to detect more vulnerable groups of workers.

The target population is made up of Social Security affiliates, with the contingency of work accidents covered, who are assigned, on a monthly basis, by temporary employment companies throughout the Spanish territory. For its part, the accident rate base of the study is the accidents with sick leave that occur on a monthly basis among workers assigned by ETT throughout the Spanish territory.
