Shock plan against workplace accidents in Andalusia
The General Directorate of Labour, Safety and Occupational Health of the Government of Andalusia through its Andalusian preventive news bulletin has published this August: "Shock plan against workplace accidents in Andalusia".
The objective of this plan is to reduce the incidence rates of serious, very serious and fatal workplace accidents in this Autonomous Community, especially for traumatic accidents during work hours. To this end, it includes new actions in different areas, which will be worked on in an intensive and complementary way, consisting of:
- Preparation of a map of serious, very serious and fatal workplace accidents in Andalusia during the years 2021 and 2022, which will make it possible to identify the economic activities that have a higher incidence of serious, very serious and fatal accidents of the types: "falls in the development of work at height and falls at the same level and overturning or loss of control of machinery and equipment loading".
- Reinforcement of verification, information and advice activities in companies.
- Reinforcement of the incentive program for companies in terms of occupational risk prevention, promoting greater provision and information and streamlining the next calls.
- Program of training and information activities in the Occupational Risk Prevention Centers, which will include the various thematic areas and productive sectors as they register a relevant part of the serious, very serious or fatal accidents in Andalusia in work at height, the construction and agricultural sector, thermal stress due to heat and occupational road safety.
- Development of awareness campaigns, with the launch of advertising campaigns focused on the prevention of thermal stress due to heat and the execution of work at height and the prevention of falls at different levels.
- Development of training and technical assistance and information programs in companies, making the pertinent modifications in the regulatory bases of both lines of incentives in order to enable their development in a manner adapted to the characteristics of the Andalusian business fabric.
