Success of FRATERTALK #7: "Teleworking: new way of working, new regulatory and preventive framework"
On December 18, For this we had the pleasure of having three in-house experts: David Revillo, PRL Consultant in the Department of Prevention and Development of Health Culture, Rafael Doménech, Director of the Center for Legal Advice and Services and Eduardo Castro, Director of Economic Benefits, which allowed teleworking to be approached from three different perspectives: prevention of occupational risks, legal/legal and economic benefits.
Among other issues, David Revillo explained the most relevant risks to which those workers who have practically changed the office for their living room to work are exposed, placing special emphasis on ergonomic, psychosocial and organizational risks. Regarding psychosocial aspects, he explained the particular connotations that teleworking can entail, such as the lack of relationship with the company and colleagues, the feeling of isolation, the distribution of work hours or techno-stress. On the other hand, David gave the keys to carrying out one of the challenges that preventionists have to face: how to carry out the risk assessment of a teleworking position.
From a legal/legal perspective, Rafael Doménech clarified the most frequent doubts about the new teleworking law, such as, for example, what is the object and scope of application of the new teleworking law. Rafael wanted to highlight the importance of the collective agreement and the agreement between the company and the worker, something essential to establish the conditions when a worker switches to teleworking, such as, for example, the equipment, means and tools that the company must provide to the worker or the area where the worker is going to perform remote work.
Eduardo Castro, for his part, responded to one of the most common doubts: has the concept of a work accident changed with the new teleworking law? Is every accident that happens to me while working on a case considered a work-related accident? Eduardo also shared his reflection about whether teleworking will lead to a decrease in accidents in companies and if it will have some type of impact on absenteeism derived from common contingencies.
