Suspension of construction activities in buildings with the presence of third parties

On April 12, the Order SND/340/2020 of April 12 was published in the Official State Gazette, by which certain activities related to intervention works in existing buildings in which there is a risk of contagion by COVID-19 for people not related to said person are suspended. activity.

Specifically, its sole article includes the following exceptional measures regarding intervention works in existing buildings:

1. The suspension of all types of work that involves an intervention in existing buildings is established, in the cases in which in the property in which they must be carried out there are people not related to the activity of execution of the work, and who, due to their permanent or temporary location, or circulation needs, and due to residence, work or others, may have interference with the activity of execution of the work, or with the movement of workers or transfer of materials. 

2. Exceptions from this suspension are the works referred to in the previous section in which, due to circumstances of the sectorization of the property, no interference occurs with people not related to the activity of the work. 

3. Likewise, specific works and works carried out on properties with the purpose of carrying out urgent repairs to installations and breakdowns, as well as surveillance tasks, are also exempt.
