Technical prevention note on biological risk in confined use of organisms
The INSST has recently published a new prevention technical note titled: "Biological risk: confined use of genetically modified organisms".
This technical note, which already reaches number 1,201 in the collection, provides information on the biological risk that exists in activities of confined use of genetically modified organisms, regulated by Law 9/2003 which establishes the legal regime for the confined use, voluntary release and commercialization of genetically modified organisms and the RD 178/2004 development of the same.
The objective is to offer technical content that facilitates the identification and evaluation of risks, as well as the application of appropriate protection and confinement measures to avoid potential adverse effects on human health and the environment derived from these activities.
