The Community of Madrid reported at the end of December of last year that it had approved the VII Master Plan for Occupational Risk Prevention 2025/28 with the aim of consolidating the preventive culture and promoting safe behavior in the workplace.

The Government Council of this region has given the green light to the text that has been agreed upon with the social agents and that will be in force until December 31, 2028. Through this instrument, the aim is to avoid risk behavior and unsafe working conditions and promote healthy practices and habits, as well as better preventive management in companies. It also seeks to raise awareness among Madrid society as a whole and strengthen the role of social partners in this matter.

The body that will be in charge of executing the policies of the VII Master Plan will be the Regional Institute of Safety and Health at Work (IRRST), dependent on the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment.

As a novelty with respect to the previous one, the results of the I Survey on health and safety conditions at work are incorporated and, also for the first time, a system of evaluation of planned actions is specified, based on their impact and preventive usefulness for companies and workers.
