The DGT presents the Seal of Safe Mobility in the Company

Last week, the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) presented the Seal of Safe Mobility in the Company, a distinction that represents public recognition of companies that are committed to reducing work-related road accidents within their prevention plans.

This seal, created in 2016 by the Asturian Institute for Occupational Risk Prevention and the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of Asturias and which is now being transferred to the national level, is a tool that aims to recognize, promote and incentivize the management of occupational road safety through the implementation of safe and sustainable mobility plans in companies.

To obtain it, it is necessary to comply with a series of general requirements, among which is the presentation of a mobility plan in the company, in accordance with the obligations included in the Type plan for safe and sustainable mobility in the company prepared by the DGT in collaboration with the INSST. The general objective of this proposed plan will be to improve road safety management in the business environment in order to reduce both the risks related to traveling "in itinere" and those that occur within the working day in the performance by workers of their duties.

The validity of this badge will be at the discretion of each autonomous community and subject to the monitoring report that is established, although in order to achieve a certain uniformity at the state level, a temporary validity of four years renewable for the same period and a monitoring report every two years has been proposed.
