The first FRATERTALK was celebrated with great interest: "I leave it whenever I want" with Pedro García Aguado
Last Friday we started a new communication project: #FRATERTALKS. A virtual space that will allow us to talk with the best specialists in occupational risk prevention and occupational safety.
With more than 100 registrations, in this first FRATERTALKS, called "I leave it whenever I want", we had the pleasure of having a truly luxurious guest: Pedro García Aguado where we talk about addictions in the work environment.
There is no doubt that the word addiction and absenteeism are closely related, either because of the damage it causes to the worker's health or because it is the direct or indirect cause of many workplace accidents. Let's think without going any further about those jobs that require a high degree of concentration or those in which the handling of machines, work at height or vehicles is required.
During the conversation, Pedro left us interesting reflections such as "the addicted person does not take drugs for pleasure, the addicted person has lost the will not to consume" and offered us some keys to prevent addictions in the work environment as well as the guidelines that the company should follow to help a worker with this type of problem.
If you were not able to attend FRATERTALKS#1 live, you have a new opportunity to watch it in the following video:
We want to greatly thank Pedro García Aguado for his participation and everything we learned about how to prevent and treat addictions in the work environment.
Reserve a space in your agenda because after the success achieved in this first FRATERTALK you can now register for FRATERTALKS#2 "Vision Zero: a new way of doing prevention" which will be the next day July 10 at 10h. The guest will be one of the people who has worked the most and disseminated Vision Zero in our country: Joaquín Ruiz, General Director of PrevenControl. You can register here.
