The guide for the evaluation and prevention of risks related to exposure to biological agents is updated
The National Institute of Safety and Health at Work (INSST) has recently published the update of the "Technical guide for the evaluation and prevention of risks related to exposure to biological agents".
The text represents the update of the second edition of the 2014 document and in it the set of comments on the articles of Royal Decree 664/1997 has been reviewed, with special relevance to article 4, in relation to risk assessment, and article 6, with the measures to reduce these, as well as the review and update of the content of its appendices.
It must be remembered that the legal basis of this document is Royal Decree 664/1997, of May 12, on the protection of workers against the risks related to exposure to biological agents during work and that in its first final provision it entrusted the INSST with the preparation and maintenance of an updated technical guide, of a non-binding nature, for the evaluation of the risks related to exposure to biological agents during work.
