In the last five years, 561 people have been killed by road accidents, 26 of them crane or road maintenance workers who were working at the time of the accident, and so far this year, 2 of the 30 people hit by cars on interurban roads were road workers.

For all of the above, the General Directorate of Traffic has launched some videos to raise awareness of the abuses of road workers in which an agent from the Civil Guard traffic group and a crane driver narrate in first person their experience as roadside workers.

Under the hashtag #ProtégelosEnCarretera, they intend to alert us to the importance that as drivers we respect the rules to guarantee their safety.

Fraternidad-Muprespa works to help its associates reduce work-related road accidents and prevent traffic accidents and to spread this message we encourage you to read our section dedicated to occupational road safety within the portal Previene.
