Update of the Action Procedure for prevention services against SARS-CoV-2

The Ministry of Health has updated the Procedure of action for occupational risk prevention services against exposure to SARS-CoV-2, which has been published on July 16, 2021. The main difference with the previous document is:

Due to the increased risk of immune escape, only contacts will be fully quarantined vaccinated in the following situations:

• Contacts of cases linked to outbreaks produced by a Beta and Gamma variant. In sporadic cases, information on variants is normally not available at the beginning of the diagnosis, therefore quarantine can only be carried out if this information is available in a timely manner.
• People with immunodepression.
• Contacts of those cases in which transmission from mink is suspected.
