The intervention of companies through prevention services, in the face of exposure to SARS-COV-2, is being crucial during the pandemic, adapting their activity with recommendations and prevention measures with the general objective of avoiding infections with organizational regulations, collective protection, personal protection, for especially vulnerable workers, with the study and management of cases and with contacts that occur in the company.

A reference document for these actions to be carried out in companies is the Procedure of action for occupational risk prevention services in the face of exposure to the new Coronavirus updated by the Ministry of Health last February.

This is the thirteenth update of the document since the beginning of the pandemic and as the main new features of this review we can highlight:

  • Re-evaluation of especially sensitive workers on temporary disability close to the exhaustion of the 365 days. The ___prevention service must re-evaluate with the new criteria or data, the IT indication reports issued that may be affected and provide their results, by the same means, to the primary care services.
  • Concordance with the change in the contingency of the benefits of health or socio-health personnel who have contracted the SARS-CoV2 virus in the exercise of their profession established in article 6 of Royal Decree-Law 3/2021, of February 2.
  • Introduction of the section for vaccinated people, which eestablishes that all preventive measures must be maintained, given that at this time, issues related to the protection of the different vaccines continue to be evaluated. Therefore, the procedure establishes that it is necessary to continue maintaining prevention and protection measures for people already vaccinated.

Fraternidad-Muprespa_has prepared on its web portal Previene_a specific section dedicated to Coronavirus with all the information of interest related to the prevention of occupational risks and health care in the pandemic that we encourage you to consult.
