The Regional Institute of Safety and Health at Work of Madrid (IRSST) launches the V call for Recognitions and Mentions in Occupational Risk Prevention.

This fifth edition will be aimed at the actions, both technical and organizational, that organizations have developed for the prevention and control of road safety at work.

They will have consideration of priority topics:

  • Development and implementation of occupational road safety plans, integrated into the companies' occupational risk prevention management systems and/or complementary to it.
  • Design, development and implementation of specific training and awareness programs based on the profile of the workers and the type of travel they carry out.
  • Implementation of a preventive culture in the company in the field of road work safety, through programs and plans that include situation diagnosis or risk assessment of jobs, execution and assessment through the corresponding impact indicators.
  • Definition of guidelines, protocols and work instructions, as appropriate, to improve the processes of acquisition and purchase of vehicles with safety parameters, as well as the proliferation of verification tools to promote the safety of fleets of company and/or private vehicles, enhanced with monitoring of preventive maintenance.
  • Alternatives to the use of the vehicle, such as the development of flexibility measures for attendance at the workplace, as well as safe mobility alternatives.

The deadline to submit applications is open until November 29 and two categories are established for the recognition of good preventive practices, one for companies or entities with a workforce of up to 50 workers and the other for companies or entities with a workforce of more than 50 workers.
