VI Master Plan on Occupational Risk Prevention of the Community of Madrid
The Master Plan for the Prevention of Occupational Risks of the Community of Madrid has as its fundamental objective the reduction of occupational accidents in accordance with articles 40.2 of the Spanish Constitution and 5 of Law 31/1995, of November 8, on the Prevention of Occupational Risks, implementing public policies aimed at raising the level of protection of safety and health at work.
The VI Master Plan for Occupational Risk Prevention has recently been presented for for the period 2021-2024, which is articulated through three axes of action that cover, among other areas, the new culture of prevention and its integration in the company, the occupational risks derived from new forms of work and the increase in the protection of the most vulnerable groups. sensitive.
As a main novelty, the plan includes the situations introduced by the Covid-19 health crisis in terms of prevention and safety of workers and employers. In addition, specific actions are included to address emerging risks derived from demographic evolution, technology and new forms of work organization, such as teleworking, and occupational risks in the environment of green employment and the just transition are also considered, taking into account diversity and the gender perspective. Likewise, occupational diseases also remain in the foreground, as do other damages that have seen their incidence increase, such as those caused by musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), among others.
