Webinar Fraternidad-Muprespa: "Vulnerable groups: pedestrians, bikes, motorcycles and VMP"
In Fraternidad-Muprespa we have celebrated from November 4 to 15 our IIIWork Road Safety Week (SVL) with the objective of raising awareness among our mutual members about the importance of safety road to reduce work accidents and work-related road accidents.
This year, due to the health crisis and the mandatory distancing measures, the actions carried out have been digital in nature with the holding of several webinars of interest to any associated company in the national territory.
On November 6, the third of our webinars was held with the title of Vulnerable groups: pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles and VMP, which was attended by 110 people and was attended by prominent prestigious speakers in the field of road safety. work.
The opening of the day was made by Mar Morales (Fraternidad-Muprespa) who presented our day by announcing the different topics to be discussed and the participating collaborators.
A virtual round table was then held, which was moderated by Beatriz Lozano (Fraternidad-Muprespa) and was attended by the following guests:
- Ana Novella (Stop Accidents) reminded us that the 20th anniversary of her association is being celebrated, highlighting that we are all vulnerable as pedestrians and that all workers have to be aware of this since 90% of road accidents could be avoided.
- Daniel Mancelle (Pontevedra City Council) presented the details that have earned them the European award for urban road safety, explaining how they have managed to involve citizens and what actions they have carried out on urban space to reduce road accidents in Pontevedra.
- Raúl Galán (DGT) explained to us the role of the administration as a catalyst for all measures in the urban area to reduce accidents, highlighting the role of road safety education to generate a new paradigm of what mobility is and also introduce in companies the type safety plan that they will soon renew with concepts such as sustainable mobility.
The closing of the session was carried out by Jacobo Baro (Fraternidad-Muprespa) who thanked all the members for their participation and highlighted the role and actions that our Mutual Fund has carried out during the entire health and social emergency that we are experiencing.
