From Fraternidad-Muprespa we launched this week “Prevention in Action”, a new interactive and digital series dedicated to occupational health and safety.

Short, visual and practical episodes that address the most common risks at work, accompanied by videos, downloadable resources and recommendations for companies and workers.

Prevention is not only learned in manuals. We want to give you useful and dynamic tools that you can apply in your daily work, wherever you are and whatever sector you work in. And being the time it is, we have decided to start with the risks of heat stroke.

Episode I. Prevention in Action: Heat stroke at work

High temperatures are changing the way we work, especially in jobs that are outdoors such as in the construction, agriculture, urban cleaning or fishing sectors. According to INSST data, heat waves have caused a 17% increase in work accidents and related deaths. Likewise, it is estimated that 60% of fatal skin cancers related to this cause have an occupational origin.

We start this series with: "How to prevent the effects of heat in the work environment." We we inform you about the levels of thermal risk, the key measures to prevent the effects of heat, general recommendations that must always be followed in situations of high temperatures and the extraordinary measures that must be activated in the event of an official alert, such as those issued by AEMET.
