The CCOO union through its Union Institute of Labour, Environment and Health (ISTAS), the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Powah Research Group have presented the study titled Working conditions, insecurity and health in the context of Covid-19. Study of the salaried population of the Cots survey.

This is a study carried out to understand the impact of the pandemic among salaried or self-employed people who had a job as of March 14, 2020, including those affected by an ERTE or laid off. The main conclusion that the work has revealed is that the health crisis has had an enormous impact on the economic and labor sphere since only 38% of salaried people have gone to their workplace while 63% have seen their working life altered.

With more than 20,000 participants, the survey shows that the main concerns of working people are related to job insecurity, 75.6% are worried about finding a job, while 69.7% show their concern about their salary decreasing, being higher among those people whose salary does not meet their basic needs. Likewise, the work shows that 26% of those surveyed have been affected by an ERTE of suspension or reduction of employment and that 48% of said ERTES have been negotiated between companies and workers' representatives.
