A new edition of Fratertalks was held with Julio de la Iglesia.
On April 22, Fraternidad-Muprespa celebrated the 21st edition of FRATERTALKS, this time to to talk about an emotion common to all human beings: fear. And although deep down fear is a defense mechanism, which puts us on alert, protects us from possible dangers and which has been fundamental for the evolution of the human being, when we do not manage this emotion properly it becomes something disturbing, which grips us, reduces our self-confidence and, many times, prevents us from exercising the role of leader, so necessary to achieve our objectives.
Can fear be controlled?
How does it affect us in decision making?
At what point does a worker stop being afraid of suffering a work accident and take risks that could cause it?
About how to face fear and how we can learn to manage it to exercise positive leadership, we spoke in this Fratertalk with a person who, due to his profession, looks fear in the eyes every day and in whom a bad decision can put his life and that of his colleagues at risk. This is Julio de la Iglesia, TEDAX (Technician Specialist in Explosive Ordnance Deactivation), coach and author of the book "Fear is brave."
