Dr. Hevia participates in the XII Congress of Occupational Medicine and Nursing

The Spanish Association of Specialists in Occupational Medicine (AEEMT), has held the First International Congress of Occupational Medicine and Nursing, and Twelfth Spanish Congress of Occupational Medicine and Nursing (I CIMET and XII CEMET 2022), in Madrid on May 19, 20 and 21 in which Dr. Hevia, traumatologist from the Spine Unit of the Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa, participated Havana.

On this occasion the motto chosen for the meeting was “Health and work: learning from change”, with three main themes: the post-Covid19 era and innovation, health promotion and scientific evidence, and mental health and diseases professionals.

The Dr. Eduardo Hevia participated on May 21, presiding over the SETLA (Spanish Society of Occupational Traumatology) panel regarding “Update and scientific evidence in the management of occupational low back pain” in which the summary of imaging lesions of herniated discs, the alarm and basic examination criteria, as well as the perspective for the prevention of low back pain in the environment were analyzed. work.

Furthermore, Eduardo pointed out in his speech at the table with the presentation on "Disk herniation in the degenerative cascade" the factors and processes that accentuate this type of pathology.

Fraternidad-Muprespa actively collaborates in the growth of the scientific community by sharing studies and research related to trauma pathology and orthopedic surgery, to improve patient treatment with traumatological injuries.
