Physiotherapy intervenes in the majority of trauma pathologies that are the most frequent at the Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana Hospital, due to our nature as a Mutual Collaborator with Social Security.

At Fraternidad-Muprespa we have developed an innovative rehabilitation reengineering model to improve its effectiveness and with the premise of offering the highest quality of care to our patients.

We believe in the importance of the relationship between the patient and the physiotherapist for recovery, which is why in this new rehabilitation model, the doctor in consultation defines the clinical judgment and therapeutic objectives for the patient and if rehabilitation treatment is required, he prescribes an initial consultation with the physiotherapist.

In this first consultation, the physiotherapist performs an examination that determines the rest of the elements of the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Plan and, based on them, defines the number of sessions, the techniques to be used and possible contraindications. Throughout the process, monitoring is carried out by both professionals, in this way the physiotherapist communicates to the doctor the need to modify the treatment if it is not effective, or the completion of the rehabilitation treatment, for having achieved the objectives, with the doctor being the one who validates said proposal.

Another key to the effectiveness of this model is the empowerment of the patient as an active part of the process, for this it is necessary to place them at the center of care and promote their participation in the rehabilitative treatment. Thanks to this vision we can combine supervised in-person and remote treatment with the digital applications developed by the Mutua.

We also go one step further, with the integration of all healthcare figures into the recovery process, we create a comprehensive care network around the patient, through joint action by the doctor at the healthcare center, the traumatologist at the hospital and the physiotherapist, in this way we obtain better results and in less time.
