Fraternidad-Muprespa is one of the 19 mutual societies collaborating with Social Security. It was founded in 1929, therefore in 2019 it celebrated its 90th anniversary. Its function is the comprehensive treatment of work accidents and occupational diseases, in its economic, health, recovery and preventive aspects. It has 117,000 associated companies and covers 1,416,000 workers.
Fraternidad-Muprespa has more than two thousand employees who look after mutual members in 115 care and administrative centers throughout Spain.
Now they also do it in this new Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana Hospital, a cutting-edge center for health, technology and sustainability.
The Hospital is located on the same plot where the previous Mutua hospital was located for almost four decades, in a central and easily accessible area of the capital. Functional needs and new demands in hospital design made it necessary to undertake a new project. The result is this center that was built between January 2016 and December 2018.
The use of this Hospital is limited to those workers of the companies associated with Fraternidad-Muprespa who, under an association agreement, subscribe to health coverage for work accidents and common illnesses. The ownership of the Hospital corresponds to the General Treasury of Social Security, and Fraternidad-Muprespa , its conservation, use and improvement.
