Dr. Hevia selected by SECOT for the EBOT exam
Dr. Eduardo Hevia, traumatologist at Hospital Traumatology.
Organized by the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopedics and Traumatology (EFORT), it aims to unify the knowledge and skills of European orthopedic societies and is considered the gateway to approval to be able to practice throughout the European Union. The accreditation obtained is the highest level that a traumatologist can opt for to certify excellence in their field, according to European standards.
In Spain it is directed by SECOT, Spanish Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, in charge of organizing the exams and selecting the most prestigious traumatologists as examiners. The test consists of three parts: two previous written exams and a final oral exam.
On this occasion, 70 professionals from all over Spain who passed the first phase met in Madrid on November 20 and 21 to take the second part of the exam, the in-person oral test.
Dr. Hevia is one of our traumatologists with the most experience and knowledge in the spine specialty and has been head of the Spine Unit at the Hospital for twenty years.
