Financial benefits for temporary disability

Economic subsidy that compensates for the loss of income while the worker is temporarily disabled and meets the legally established requirements. Its birth, amount and duration depend on the causing contingency and the applicable regulations. In general, in the case of a common illness or non-work accident, the right arises from the fourth day of sick leave; in a work accident or occupational disease, from the day following the day of sick leave. The ordinary duration is 365 days, extendable for another 180 days when it is presumed that during that period a medical discharge due to a cure may occur.
