Fraternidad-Muprespa, Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, granted social aid throughout Spain in 2018 for an amount of 2,304,102.85 euros. Throughout 2018, 345 home aids, for a total of 280,993 euros; 853 for accompanying expenses, amounting to 258,201 euros; and 265,931.16 euros for 64 grants aimed at access to new technologies, training courses and adaptation of housing and vehicles.

By Autonomous Communities, those that registered the highest percentage increase in benefits were Madrid (14.84%), Barcelona (8.74%), Seville (8.10%), Valencia (5.95%) and Alicante (5.75%).

During 2018, the Mutua promoted the Impulsa program aimed at guiding the process of conscious change of people with disabilities, through several days throughout the peninsular geography. In them, workshops and topics such as emotional intelligence or mindfulness were held, with the presence of cases of improvement.

Fraternidad-Muprespa each year disseminates and promotes the granting of this type of aid through the Special Benefits Commission, a joint participation body. Its objective is to alleviate specific situations of special need for workers who have suffered an accident at work or an occupational disease, in a wide range of situations.

The Commission pays special interest to cases of disability, as well as to family members or similar persons of workers who lack the means to deal with these circumstances. These aid complement the benefits guaranteed by the Social Security system.

The aid is granted from the social assistance reserve established in the Mutual Insurance Law, which is endowed with 10% of the annual surplus of professional contingencies that the Entity obtains after the provision of the legal reserves.
