Fraternidad-Muprespa delivers 12.7 million euros to associated companies for the reduction of accidents
Fraternidad-Muprespa, Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, managed incentives worth 12,745,000 euros during the 2018 Bonus campaign (relating to the year 2017). The recipients were 7,974 associated companies that have significantly reduced their workplace accidents. Favorable resolutions exceeded 95% of the applications presented. For its part, the Mutual Fund has increased the intake of applications by 699% compared to 2016.
When submitting applications, Fraternidad-Muprespa is firmly committed to digitalization. Of the total applications submitted, 40% have been carried out through its digital office, while the rest have been submitted in person. The Mutua thus expands the communication channels to facilitate and expedite the delivery of this bonus granted by the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security. Fraternidad-Muprespa thus continues its commitment to the digitalization of processes as demonstrated with the launch of its My Frater Patient application that allows you to manage appointments, tests, treatments, etc.
Of the companies that received recognition, the vast majority, almost nine out of ten, have up to 50 employees. 8% correspond to medium-sized companies, between 51 and 249 workers, and 3% refer to companies with 250 workers or more. The Bonus incentive system is aimed at reducing contributions for professional contingencies recognized by the General Directorate of Social Security Regulation, DGOSS. Fraternidad-Muprespa, as Mutua Collaboradora, provides coverage to its companies and manages these incentives for them.
In the last 2017 campaign, the amount of the incentive was 5% of the fees for professional contingencies of the requesting companies and within the period that corresponded to the observation period. Fraternidad-Muprespa paid 7.8 million euros for this concept. In the case of companies that had made complementary investments in prevention tasks, the incentive was an additional 5%. The amount paid under these preventive actions was almost 5 million euros.
Carlos Aranda, Managing Director of the Entity, highlights that "at Fraternidad-Muprespa we give great importance to reducing accidents through prevention measures aimed at the protection and safety of the health of workers. The money managed for this purpose can never be considered an expense, but rather one of the best investments a company can make." The deadline to request the 2018 Bonus incentive is open until May 31.
