Fratertalk 36. LEARN TO CARE FOR YOUR HEART: CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH PREVENTION, WITH DR. ANDRÉS ÍÑIGUEZ
It begins to beat already in the fifth week of pregnancy and from that moment on it will beat no less than 3 billion times during the life of an adult. We are talking about our heart, an essential organ for life but, however, we often do not pay enough attention to it until it gives us a scare in the form of a heart attack.
The figures already put us on alert, every year in Spain there are more than 120 thousand deaths due to heart attacks or heart-related diseases and it is also the first cause of death from work accidents.
We talk about how we can take care of our cardiovascular health in this edition of Fratertalks with Doctor Andrés Íñiguez, President of the Spanish Heart Foundation and Head of the Cardiology Service of the Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de Vigo, who shared with us interesting reflections about the factors that most harm the health of our heart and what habits we can acquire in our daily lives to take care of it.
